How Kick Power Is Estimated
Kick power depends on body mass, leg length (lever arm), hip flexibility for full rotation, and technical proficiency developed over years of training. Heavier fighters generate more force, but technique is the biggest multiplier. A well-trained 70 kg fighter can out-kick an untrained 100 kg person. Spinning back kicks generate the most force due to full body rotation and hip extension. Teep kicks generate less raw force but are used for range control. This estimator uses a simplified biomechanical model based on published force-plate studies of martial arts kicks.
