How Muay Thai Scoring Works
Muay Thai uses a 10-point must system where kicks, knees, and elbows score higher than punches. Clean technique, ring control, and damage all factor into judging. Sweeps that dump an opponent score well, and knockdowns carry significant weight. Unlike boxing, judges reward fighters who use the full arsenal of Muay Thai weapons. A dominant round can produce a 10-8 score, while even rounds are scored 10-10. This calculator applies weighted scoring to each category to simulate authentic Muay Thai judging.
