TDEE for Combat Sport Athletes

Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is the total number of calories your body burns in a day, combining your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) with the energy cost of all your activities. This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, considered the most accurate BMR formula for healthy adults. It then applies an activity multiplier that accounts for the high demands of combat sport training.

Combat athletes train harder than most gym-goers. A fighter training twice a day during camp can burn 3,000-4,500+ calories daily. Standard TDEE calculators built for the general population often underestimate calorie needs for this level of activity. The "Extreme" multiplier (1.9x) in this calculator reflects two-a-day training camps typical in boxing, MMA, and Muay Thai.

Knowing your TDEE is the foundation of any nutrition strategy — whether you are cutting weight for a fight, maintaining between camps, or bulking in the off-season. The Titans Grip apps use these same calculations, combined with AI coaching, to build adaptive meal plans that adjust as your training load changes.
